The decision you are pricing

What is this vehicle worth in 36 months, and will anyone stand behind the number? Is the body on this chassis approved, and by whom? What does the market as a whole know that my book alone cannot tell me?

Residual IndexModelled

What a commercial vehicle is worth by variant, age, kilometres and state, published monthly with its grade. The electric curve comes first, because it is the number that stalls electric truck finance and nobody credible owns it. Modelled today from list prices and nine closes on a young yard; every figure says so.

Body Book certificateNext

The certificate itself is next; the envelope, the observed bodies and the ratification are live on every chassis page. Figures on this page were counted on 12 September 2026.

Which bodies are approved on which chassis type, as a certificate an insurer or lender accepts. It grows from the Body Book, which already reads 848 bodies on 480 chassis types and lets builders ratify them. The certificate is a PDF with a verification address.

CV PassportPilot

A pilot with one insurer; it needs a chassis registry that does not exist yet. Figures on this page were counted on 12 September 2026.

One record per vehicle: chassis number, body, approvals and specs, ratified by the builder and accepted by an insurer. Once it settles a claim, body builders and dealers must submit to it. It runs as a pilot with one insurer while the registry is built.

A contractual, audited data trust. A maker, a lender and an insurer each contribute their slice and query only aggregates of the whole. Nobody sees a rival's rows, and a member can leave and take its rows out.

How the numbers are made

Shriram Automall's ThePriceX and its insights report sit on eleven years of the automalls' own transactions, tuned with IIT Delhi. Edge does not compete on transaction volume and will not. It competes on three things: neutrality, a benchmark not owned by any lender's counterparty or any maker; the public ledger, every figure sealed and scored where anyone can check; and the register's side of the market, list prices, launches, dealer floors and operator intent, which auction data cannot see. Auction-side data is one channel of the market; Edge grades its own yard honestly for the same reason.
